Information and rules for anglers

South Tyrol has a clear set of fishing rules, which are primarily there to preserve the long term fish stocks in flowing and still waters. Laws regulate (german) (german) the requirements for fishing (fishing exam, licenses, etc.), the fishing seasons and the minimum sizes of different fish species. This laws also regulate the allowed lures and the amount of caught fish. In addition to this regulations the owner of each fishing water have the possibility to make further restrictions which also pursue the intent to preserve the fish population.
